Girl Scouting provides girls with precious lifelong experiences and reinforces values that are important to your family. And the Girl Scout Cookie Program is a key part of her experience! The Cookie Program is a hands-on leadership and entrepreneurial opportunity. Girls learn skills that last far beyond Cookie Season. Of course, the Cookie Program also funds your girl’s activities and allows many troops to become self-sustaining. Best of all, girls love the Cookie Program and look forward to it each year!
This Family Guide has a lot of great information about the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX) Cookie Program. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with all the great things going on during our 100th year of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place!
Also, please familiarize yourself with the GSNETX marketing guidelines in our 411 on Marketing pdf.
Before your girl sells:
  • Make sure your Girl Scout’s membership registration is current. Girls must be registered for the 2011-2012 membership year.
  • Complete the Parent Permission and Responsibility Form. You will receive this form from your Girl Scout Troop Cookie Manager and/or Leader. Permission from a parent or legal guardian is required.
  • Read the Family Guide carefully so that you will know Cookie Program guidelines and dates. Girl Scouts are “on their honor” to respect these guidelines and dates including not taking orders before the January 6, 2012 start date. Please encourage your daughter to follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
  • At the end of the Cookie Program, ensure that all money is turned in on time to the Girl Scout Troop Cookie Manager in order for girls to receive girl incentives items. See page 6 of your Family Guide for a list of this year’s incentives! All cookies sold count toward incentives, including those sold through customer orders, Project Troop to Troop and at Booth Sales!
